winBase Indexing

Written in VB 6 and Visual C++. This program is used to manage the database(s) of the most well-known horse sale catalog producer in the country. It is a multi-user client-server program tying to Visual Foxpro database(s) with over 2 million records. We use ole Excel as our report-generator as opposed to Crystal reports because nearly all users know how to use Excel and can customize, email and format the reports to their tastes.

One of the fun aspects of this program is it's functions that create camera-ready pages for their catalogs. Prior to the development of this program, the work required to produce these pages was tedious at best. The program ties into their publisher software, Ventura Publisher.
